Black tea generally comes from the former British colonies (India, Sri Lanka or Ceylon, Indonesia, etc.). TGFOP organic black teas, whose leaves are grown in the Assam region of India, are the result of a second harvest. The grade "Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe" indicates that the tea is only composed of the terminal and golden buds (Tippy golden). Its orange color embodies the Dutch royal family of the time.
Unlike green or white teas, black teas have undergone a strong oxidation. Like other black teas, Assam TGFOP second flush Rembeng tea is rich in antioxidants, especially polyphenols. Regular consumption of its infusions is beneficial to health. It can reduce cardiovascular risks or protect cells from aging. Plain or combined with blends, black teas promote digestion. Authentic, invigorating and full-bodied, they awaken the senses.
The quality and flavor of the tea are the result of many factors: the quantity selected, the temperature of the water, the infusion time and the teapot used. Indeed, in order not to alter the taste, it is recommended to choose a terracotta, earthenware, porcelain or ceramic product.
For a perfect tea, the recommended number of leaves is 12 to 15 grams per liter, or about 2.5 grams per cup (one teaspoon). If you want to obtain a tea with less leaves or with more theins, it should remain in the cup for a shorter time.
The water used for the tea should preferably be of good quality and low in minerals (bottled or filtered). An oxidized tea like black tea can stay 3 to 5 minutes in water at 95 or 100°C.
This black tea, rich in taste, is ideal in the morning to start the day or in the afternoon. It helps digestion and is recommended outside of meals. You can consume up to 4 or 5 cups a day.
The loose tea, natural without any added ingredient, is of better quality than the bagged product. The character of the leaves and buds is better preserved. In order to keep it fresh, the tea must be protected from air, light, heat, humidity and odors. We advise you to store it in an airtight and opaque container and to buy the products in small quantities.
