our expertise
In our workshop in Provence, each blend is handcrafted with passion by our team.
Real pieces of dried fruit, whole plants and carefully selected teas of origin.
Carefully crafted to create unforgettable tasting moments. A signature taste, an authentic experience.
At a glance: a Sencha green tea with notes of raspberry and violet, steeped 2-3 min at 75-80°C (167-176°F), 12-15 g/L. Floral, fruity, refined.
Picture a Parisian garden in spring: morning dew on the raspberry canes, the faint scent of violets drifting along a sunlit path. That is exactly the sensory stroll this blend from our maison invites you to take.
Built around a China Sencha with a pale golden liquor, this green tea is dressed with mallow petals, violet blossoms and whole raspberries. An elegant creation, perfect for those who love a floral cup without excess. This springtime blend reimagines the art of French scented tea.
As soon as you open the pouch, raspberry comes forward first: vivid, juicy, almost jammy. Then violet follows, more restrained, leaving a powdery, delicately sweet impression.
On the palate, the Sencha base brings a light, almost herbaceous freshness, while the China White Monkey, a rare white tea of silvery buds, softens the whole with a silky roundness.
If you enjoy fruity and floral combinations, you may also love our Lolita Green Tea, which brings together strawberry, violet and orange in an equally spring-like spirit, or this tea with its more pronounced fruity character.
Getting this infusion right comes down to four key parameters. For a deeper dive, visit our guide on green tea.
Pour the water over the leaves, let the raspberry and violet unfurl gently, then strain. In summer, this blend is wonderful as a cold brew: use 8 g/L, steep for 6 hours in the fridge, and you have a refreshing drink of rare elegance.
Serve it as it is, without sugar or milk, in a light porcelain cup to appreciate its golden liquor. It pairs beautifully with a buttery shortbread, a red fruit tart or a violet macaron. Enjoy it throughout the day, from a quiet morning moment to an afternoon tea with friends.
Keep your leaves in an airtight, opaque container, away from light, moisture and strong odours. The violet fragrance is delicate: a well-sealed tin will preserve its intensity for several months after opening.
What does violet green tea taste like?
This blend opens with a fruity raspberry note, then settles into a powdery floral heart of violet and mallow. The Sencha base adds a vegetal freshness that balances the gentle sweetness of the fruit.
How do you brew violet green tea?
Steep 12 to 15 g per litre in water at 75-80°C (167-176°F) for 2 to 3 minutes. Water that is too hot will oxidise the floral aromas and make the Sencha bitter: temperature control is key to bringing out the delicacy of the violet.
What styles of violet green tea are there?
Violet blends are made on a Sencha, Gunpowder or white tea base, often paired with raspberry, rose or citrus. Our Jardin de Paris favours the classic violet-raspberry combination on Sencha and White Monkey.
When is the best time to drink this tea?
Its gentle floral character makes it enjoyable at any hour. For help choosing the right moment, see our guide When to drink green tea. It suits a calm morning as well as an afternoon break.
