Hemp leaves can be used to make CBD butter, or THC-free Marrakech butter. It requires very little preparation, and can be used to replace conventional butter in a wide range of recipes. Note that you can prepare other basic ingredients with Cannabis sativa leaves, seeds or oil. These include honey, milk, flour and CBD olive oil.

Ingredients and utensils for making Marrakech butter

To make Marrakech butter with Cannabis sativa leaves, you'll need :

  • 250 grams of sweet butter ;
  • 25 grams dried hemp leaves;
  • a large saucepan ;
  • a colander ;
  • a fine cloth ;
  • a large spoon;
  • a mold or tin.

Preparing CBD butter

Here's how to make hemp leaf butter.

  1. Heat 1 liter of water in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the sweet butter and dried hemp leaves.
  3. Simmer for 3-4 hours, stirring regularly. The water should separate from the fat.
  4. Place the cloth at the bottom of the colander and pour out the contents of the pan. The water will be filtered out.
  5. Pour the butter into the mould, butter dish or tin.
  6. Place your CBD butter in the fridge for 24 hours. It will solidify and you can then use it in your recipes.

For a Cannabis sativa-flavored crème dessert, you'll need:

  • 5 egg yolks ;
  • 1 tablespoon dried hemp leaves ;
  • 50 cL liquid cream;
  • 100 grams caster sugar;
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar;
  • one saucepan ;
  • a fine sieve ;
  • whisk ;
  • ramekins ;
  • oven with grill function;
  • large ovenproof dish.

Preparing the crème brûlée with hemp leaves

Before you start cooking, remember to preheat your oven to 100°C. Then follow the steps in the recipe.

  1. Heat the liquid cream in a saucepan over low heat, then add the Cannabis sativa leaves. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  2. Strain the mixture through a sieve, keeping only the CBD-flavored cream.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the egg yolks with the white sugar until the mixture whitens. Add the cream while continuing to whisk.
  4. Pour the mixture into individual ramekins.
  5. Pour boiling water into a large pan and place the ramekins in it.
  6. Bake for 40-50 minutes at 100°C. Once cooled, place the ramekins in the refrigerator for one hour.
  7. Turn your oven back on to broil.
  8. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the creams, then bake until the sugar caramelizes.

3. CBD chocolate vanilla marble recipe

Ingredients for hemp chocolate vanilla marble cake

To make a delicious chocolate, vanilla and CBD marble cake, prepare the following ingredients:

  • 150 grams vanilla yoghurt ;
  • 100 grams powdered sugar ;
  • 90 grams classic butter or Marrakech butter;
  • 60 mL classic milk (or plant milk or CBD milk);
  • 300 grams flour of your choice;
  • half a sachet of baking powder;
  • a few teaspoons of dried hemp leaves;
  • 100 grams melted chocolate;
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

Preparing the Cannabis sativa marble cake

Assemble the ingredients, a baking tin, two large bowls and a whisk. Preheat your oven to 180°C, then follow the recipe:

  1. Mix the yoghurt and sugar in a large bowl.
  2. Melt the butter with the milk, then add the mixture to the bowl.
  3. Add the flour, baking powder and Cannabis sativa leaves, then mix.
  4. Pour half the dough into a second bowl. Add the vanilla extract to one bowl and the chocolate to the other.
  5. Oil or butter the baking tin.
  6. Gently pour a little chocolate batter into the tin, followed by a little vanilla batter. Repeat, alternating until you've finished the batter.
  7. Bake for 1 hour, leave to cool, then enjoy!
