Mao Feng white tea, the king of white teas
Produced from organic farming and harvested by hand, Mao Feng tea originated in Vietnam. Finer than teas from China, India or Japan, it is said to be the favorite of kings. Harvested when its buds are white, this tea reveals a lighter color than matcha or Wulong. It has a mild and sweet taste, different from the vegetal notes of green teas and rooibos, as well as the strong taste of black tea. Low in caffeine, it remains a drink suitable for everyone and at any time of day.
Benefits and virtues of Mao Feng
Often reputed (with good reason) for their antioxidant content, green teas are however outclassed in this area by organic Mao Feng. Often used in traditional medicines in China, Japan and India, Mao Feng is also used in cosmetics. Rich in polyphenols, including catechins, this tea has a marked antioxidant action. The presence of aromatic amines supports and stimulates the immune system. Recommended to relieve and soothe the gastrointestinal tract, this tea is sometimes scented with organic jasmine to soothe the body and mind. A delicate way to reinvent the cup of tea far from the powerful teas like Sencha, matcha, darjeeling or Wulong.
